FAQS

Do I need a referral to see an Osteopath?

No, you can make an appointment directly with us. Although we work closely with GPs and other healthcare providers, you don’t need a referral for Osteopathic treatment. This applies even if you have an accident and wish to submit an ACC claim.

Can you help me lodge an ACC claim?

Yes, we are a registered ACC provider. We can help you with all the paperwork, and lodge the claim directly for you.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

If you have any x-rays, test results or relevant medical notes, bring these with you.
You may wish to bring a pair of sports or gym shorts to change into for the examination and treatment.

You are welcome to bring a friend or whanau support to accompany you.

It is also our clinic policy that any patient under the age of 16 be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Does Osteopathic treatment hurt?

Some people experience some soreness for a day or two after a treatment as their body reacts and adjusts to the treatment. If this persists or increases, contact your Osteopath to discuss it.

How long will the treatment take?

Our appointment times allow up to 40 minutes.

If it is your first visit, it is a good idea to arrive 10 minutes early so you can fill out our New Patient form, and if needed, an ACC injury claim form.
